NTC AMERICA SHOWCASES NEW FACILITIES AND NEW PERSONNEL
APPOINTMENTS
Novi, MI NTC America, the North American group of Nippei Toyama
Corporation, a global leader in laser and machine tool manufacturing,
recently hosted an open house to unveil its new Corporate Headquarters
and Advanced Technology Center, located in Novi, MI. More than 220 invited
guests, including personnel from company suppliers, distributor networks
and sales organizations, and customer representatives attended the event.
The guests were provided a tour of the 22,000 square-foot facilitys
administrative offices, an extensive parts inventory storage area, and
a new section devoted to the rebuilding of machine spindlesplus
machine display areas with working demonstrations of machining centers,
laser processing systems, and grinding machines.
Among the highlights of the festivities was the formal presentation
of the General Motors Supplier of the Year Award for 2005, made by GM
representative Ms. Darlene Clevenger, to Mr. Hiroyuki Horii, president
of NTC. The ceremony marked the third consecutive year that NTC has
been so honored, and the fifth time since participation in the program,
that the company has earned the award that is indicative of product
quality, pricing structures, timely delivery and overall support and
service performance.
The Open House also coincided with the announcement by Mr. Horii of
three personnel appointments at NTC America, all promotions from within
the company staff. First, Mr. Ken Fumoto has been named president of
NTC America and is joined by Mr. Masa Nakayama and Mr. Mack Yamamoto,
both named to vice president positions.
After his introduction as NTC America president and in making welcoming
remarks to the guests, Mr. Fumoto cited the firms purpose in establishing
the new facilities. "The new, larger space empowers our team members
with the resources and tools to better serve NTC customers," noted
Mr. Fumoto, "with more extensive technology display capabilities,
technical and application support, and with service and solutions that
are unsurpassed. Our goal is to be everyones supplier of the year,
from the largest of worldwide corporations to the smallest manufacturing
shop. We believe the new headquarters and technology center is an important
element to our achieving that goal."
NTC America manufactures a host of multi-faceted laser systems, machine
tools and special manufacturing systems. Among its products are grinding
machines including cylindrical, camshaft and crank pin grinders, and
special purpose grinding machines, along with multi-wheel and double
disc grinders, and centerless grinding machines. The company also manufactures
transfer machines, flexible transfer lines, vertical & horizontal
machining centers, and specialized equipment for the manufacture of

More than 220 guests, including suppliers, sales teams and customers
attended the NTC America Open House celebration and were given the opportunity
